Zyfra Europe appoints Katriina Valli as Managing Director
Helsinki, February 15, 2018 – Katriina Valli has been appointed as managing director for Zyfra Europe, headquartered in Helsinki, Finland. Zyfra is an international IT company focusing on machine learning based predictive maintenance and decision making support solutions.
As a new player in the European IT market, Zyfra relies on strong local IT industry experts. Katriina Valli has more than 20 years of experience in IT. In 2017, she entered the list of top 100 IT influencers in Finland according to a local IT magazine Tivi.
Before joining Zyfra, Katriina Valli was RPA Evangelist and Lead Consultant responsible for accelerating Robotic Process Automation (RPA) business at Knowit. Prior to that, she was an IT industry analyst at Gartner and held various business development positions at Citec. She has got extensive experience in international expansion and product development of high-end solutions.
“Katriina Valli brings important expertise in business strategy, engineering, and customer solutions, as well as a well-established track record of delivering strong results in complex environments,” said Pekka Viljakainen, chairman of the board. “Her experience at Gartner and work in RPA give her a unique perspective for this new role.”
At Zyfra, she will build on two main product areas – shop floor monitoring and control solutions, and machine learning based predictive maintenance and decision making support solutions for industrial enterprises.
One of the primary tasks is to bring a new product to the European market, MDCPlus, a remote control and monitoring tool for shop floor operations in discrete and contract manufacturing.
”MDCPlus is the first solution we introduce to the European market. However, we will create machine learning and predictive analytics solutions as a natural continuation of my former experience. I look forward to creating these solutions within Zyfra, using the best resources in the field,” managing director Katriina Valli says.
